Meet the Therapists

Ann Janners, Licensed Clinical Massage Therapist,

Certified Personal Trainer, Owner

I have had an interest in Massage Therapy since I was a child. Even at such a young age I had the curiosity of why someone was in pain and more importantly the devotion to helping them feel better. I also wondered why medication was the forefront of "health" when there were so many other alternatives. Holistic Health is about finding the reason behind the what and not just masking the pain momentarily. Working side by side with Chiropractors, Physical Therapists and Nutritionists for 14 years, I have gained a profound respect for all types of holistic healing and have seen far and wide it's physical, mental and spiritual benefits.

I attended National University of Health Sciences in Lombard in 2007 where I received my Certification as a Massage Therapist. I completed an onsite clinical internship and also went on to complete an internship at Heartland Home Health and Hospice. My massage specialties include, but are not limited to: Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Orthopedic and Trigger Point Therapy. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2008 and continuously evolve my understanding, appreciation and skills of many types of massage. In 2013 I went on to become a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I specialize in corrective exercise which I incorporate into my massage practice.

My appreciation for this field only grows and I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your way to wellness.

Kathleen Diaz, Licensed Clinical Massage Therapist,

Master of Arts in Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology

One of the aspects that I enjoy most about being a Massage Therapist is facilitating greater awareness of the mind body connection. Prior to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2014, I studied psychology and human development across the lifespan. Coupling knowledge of how the mind works with how the body works allows me to give a massage centered on my client’s varied needs and wellness goals.

Studying and practicing massage therapy since 2010, I have observed how especially effective it is at reducing or eliminating pain and discomfort. During my coursework at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, I learned to integrate Eastern and Western massage techniques for a truly holistic treatment. A short while after graduating, I completed certification in Thai Massage at Blue Lotus Thai Healing Studies, as well as abroad in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I have experience working in fast paced and clinical environments as well as relaxing spas.

In addition to Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Thai Massage, I am also certified in Therapeutic Cupping, which is especially beneficial for deep muscular issues and softening scar tissue.

I believe in the many benefits that Massage Therapy brings. I look forward to helping you meet your wellness goals.

Amber Bowser, Licensed Clinical Massage Therapist,

Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist and Reflexology Professional

I have always wanted to help people, and when my family and friends suggested looking into massage therapy, I did my research and became utterly fascinated with how beneficial it is for the body.  After graduating from SOMA Institute in 2016, I've consistently worked in spa settings, helping alleviate pain and stress for people so that they might enjoy a better quality of life.

I am certified in Swedish, prenatal, reflexology, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and sports massage, and I have continued to learn and develop my skills as a massage therapist throughout my career.  Stress relief and pain management are my specialties, and with them I hope to help my clients reach their lifestyle goals.  A healthy body and mind are immensely important, especially these days.

I look forward to developing further as a clinical therapist, and continuing to help others feel their best.
